Post graduate studies
As I mentioned
in the previous post, I entered at this university thinking about studying something
related to cosmetology, but as time passed, I realized that maybe working at
public health would give me more satisfaction, so, even though it scares me a
little bit thinking about the amount of years I will study, I would like to do
a PhD in Public health or Pharmacology. This could give me the tools and all
the necessary knowledge to help others in a direct or indirect way (being there
with the people or helping them developing medicines, in case of studying
Pharmacology).
I would like to
study in Chile and at this university, so I searched for the subjects they have
at both of the PhDs and the ones that catched my attention were: “Bioethical,
philosophical and social bases of Public Health” in the case of the Public
Health PhD, because I had to do an investigation at school about an analysis of
the bioethical principles in genetical manipulation of humans, and I fell in
love with that topic. By the other hand, in the case of Pharmacology, the “Clinical
Pharmacology” also catched my attention, because it’s related with the labor I
would like to do in society.
I forgot to say
that I would like to study a part-time course, I think distance learning doesn’t
fit me so well because I need a structured schedule and the presence of
teachers to pay attention and ask some questions. It would make me so happy
help others, so this studies could help me to do that.
